extra things you need to know about heli-access ski touring.

This product provides helicopter drop‑offs and pick‑ups for backcountry ski touring. It is not guided heli‑skiing and does not include instruction, guiding, or supervision.

All participants must be competent, self‑sufficient backcountry skiers capable of route‑finding, terrain assessment, and managing themselves in alpine environments.

Every skier must have completed recognised avalanche training (minimum Avalanche Awareness or equivalent) and be proficient in the use of avalanche safety equipment.

Each skier must carry:
Avalanche transceiver and PLB
Shovel
Probe
Appropriate backcountry ski touring gear
Suitable clothing and emergency equipment for alpine conditions

All flights are subject to weather, snow stability, and operational safety requirements. Main Divide Helicopters reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel flights at any time.

Groups must be ready at the agreed pick‑up location and time. Additional flight time caused by relocation, delays, or changes may incur extra charges.

Backcountry ski touring involves inherent risks including avalanches, terrain hazards, and changing weather. By booking, participants acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility.

All prices listed are per load and may change without notice. Final costs depend on flight time, location, and operational conditions. Prices exclude a $25pp DOC landing fee.
